Born on August 25th 1985 in Užice (Republic of Serbia). He graduated from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Belgrade in 2009. During his studies, he was a member of the Student Parliament. He spent the period from 2011 to 2019 doing graduate studies in Rome at the Faculty of Eastern Church Sciences of the Pontifical Oriental Institute as a scholarship holder of the Catholic Committee for Cultural Cooperation of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity. In 2014, he completed his Master's at the same Institute with an average grade of 9.86. He completed his Doctoral Studies in 2019 by defending his doctoral dissertation on “Le relazioni politico-ecclesiastiche tra la Serbia e la Santa Sede dal 1878 al 1918” (“Political-ecclesiastical relations between Serbia and the Holy See from 1878 to 1918”) under the mentorship of Msgr. Giuseppe M. Croce with an average grade of 9.81. In the period 2018-2020, he was a member of the library commission at the Pontifical Oriental Institute. During the academic year 2019/20, he attended the Vatican School of Archival Science, Paleography and Diplomacy. He researches in the Vatican, inside Italian and Serbian archives. He speaks Italian, English, Russian and Greek.

 

Areas of research and research topics - church history of the Serbian Church and other local Orthodox churches, the Catholic Church, the history of Serbia in the 19th and 20th centuries, Vatican-Serbian / Yugoslav relations.
