Born in Belgrade in 1987. She completed her undergraduate studies and Master's in History in 2012 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. At the same faculty, in February 2019, she defended her Doctoral dissertation titled “Late Medieval Cults of Saints in the Central Balkans”. From 2013 to 2017, she was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. In 2014 and 2016, she was awarded scholarships from DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) and ÖAW (Österreichischer Austauschdienst). Since November 2018, she has been employed at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA. In 2021 she was awarded research grant JESH (Joint Excellence in Science and Humannities) by the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

Field of research and research topics - cultural history, history of ideas, studies of collective memory, cults of saints, medieval and early modern historiography, diplomacy.

 

Projects:

2024–  Principal investigator in the project (Trans-)Formation of Identities: Orthodox Christians in the Ottoman Balkans (c.1450–c.1750) (No. 10932), supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia within the frame of the PROMIS2023 programme. 

2018–2019 – Participant in the project Средњовековно наслеђе Балкана: институције и култура, (Medieval heritage of the Balkans: institutions and culture). The project was financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Project holder: Institute for Balkan Studies SASA.

2013–2017 – Participant in the project Средњовековне српске земље (XIII–XV век): политички, привредни, друштвени и правни процеси, (Medieval Serbian lands (XIII-XV century): political, economic, social and legal processes). The project was financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Project holder: Institute of History Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
