Homelands and Hostlands: Political Mobilization among Migrant and Religious Communities in Europe and the Americas, 1848-1939

Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović, PhD, research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA participated at the international workshop “Homelands and Hostlands: Political Mobilization among Migrant and Religious Communities in Europe and the Americas, 1848-1939“ held in Mainz (Germany). Dr. Djurić-Milovanović presented the paper entitled „On the Road to Religious Freedom“: a Study of the Nazarene Emigration from South-Eastern Europe to the United States. The workshop was organized by the Leibniz-Institut für Europäische Geschichte (IEG) and German Research Foundation. Papers will be published in the special issues of the journal Immigrants & Minorities. Historical Studies in Ethnicity, Migration and Diaspora (Routledge).
