THE 2nd ST. VLADIMIR READINGS. In honor of the 1000th Anniversary of the Assumption of St. Prince Vladimir Equal to the Apostle

Danica Popović, senior research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies, took part in the international conference THE 2nd ST. VLADIMIR READINGS. In honor of the 1000th Anniversary of the Assumption of St. Prince Vladimir Equal to the Apostle , held July 24-29 in Sevastopol, where she presented her paper “THE CULT OF THE HOLY RULER IN MEDIEVAL SERBIA”. The conference assembling more than thirty  distinguished historians, archaeologists and art historians, was organized by GBU of Culture of Sevastopol, the National Preserve “Chersonesus Tauric”, the Russian Academy of Arts, the Crimean Institute of Archeology and the Simferopol and Crimean Diocese.                                         

The program of the conference
