Icons and Iconology
Valentina Živković, PhD, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies, SASA, took part in the international scholarly conference Icons and Iconology (9th International Conference of Iconographic Studies) held in Rijeka (Croatia), on 2 and 3 June 2015. The conference that assembled 30 participants was organised by: Centre for Iconographic Studies, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Rijeka; Museum of Russian Icons, Clinton, MA (USA); Institute for the Study of Culture and Christianity, Belgrade (Serbia); and American Institute of Rome (Italy), in association with: Harvard University (USA); Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium); University of Ljubljana (Slovenia); and Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome (Italy). The contributions presented at the conference will be published in IKON 9, Proceedings of the 9th Conference of Iconographic Studies.
