Tracing pottery making recipes in the Balkans 6th-4th millenium BC
On the 19th and the 20th of September, a workshop titled Tracing pottery making recipes in the Balkans 6th-4th millennium BC , co-organized by Balkan Studies Institute of SASA, University College London and the Institute for Archaeo-metallurgical Studies UCL, was held on the premises of SASA and in the Rectorate building of the University of Belgrade. The workshop was attended by numerous archaeological specialists dealing with prehistoric pottery manufacture and decoration technology. Present knowledge on the matter of manufacture and decoration from the Neolithic period of the Balkans and the adjoining areas was discussed in over 30 research presentations. The results of the workshop will be published in an edited volume. The sessions were chaired by eminent foreign and domestic archaeologists like prof. dr Nenad Tasić, doc dr Jasna Vuković, dr Petya Georgieva, dr Michaela Spataro and dr Patrick Sean Quinn.
