Vladan Desnica and Split (1920-1945)

“Vladan Desnica and Split (1920-1945)”, an international scientific conference under the aegis of “Desničini susreti”, dedicated to the political and cultural heritage of a notable Serbian family of Desnica and to the intellectual scene of interwar Dalmatia and Yugoslavia, was held in Split and Islam Grčki from the 19th to the 21st of September. Dragan Bakić, research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies, presented the paper „Uroš Desnica: a political career in the time of temptations (1919-1941)“ while Veljko Stanić, research assistant, dealt with the subject entitled „In the workshop of history: Boško Desnica (1886-1945) and the early modern history of North Dalmatia“.
