Monastery of Studenica. 700 Years of the King’s Church

Danica Popović, senior research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies, took part in the international conference Monastery of Studenica. 700 Years of the King’s Church, held 8–11 May in Belgrade and at the monastery of Studenica, where she presented her paper “The ‘pantheon’ of Serbian saints at the time of King Milutin: the cults of archbishops and anchorites”. The conference assembling more than twenty distinguished art and literary historians, historians, archaeologists and theologians was organized by the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Faculty of Orthodox Theology of Belgrade University, and the monastery of Studenica.
