Iconology at the Crossroads

Valentina Živković, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, took part in the 7th International Conference of Iconographic Studies titled Iconology at the Crossroads, held 23–25 May in Rijeka, Croatia, organised by: Center for Iconographic Studies, Department of Art History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka; Iconology Research Group, Department of Art History, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven; Cultural Iconology and Semiography Research Group, University of Szeged; Index of Christian Art, Princeton University.

Valentina Živković presented the co-authored paper with Dr Guiseppe Capriotti of the University of Macerata, Italy: “The gap between text, image and ritual as iconological problem: Two examples from the Adriatic coast”.
