The Danube from Bezdane to Belgrade

A colletion of works labelled „The Danube from Bezdane to Belgrade“, edited by Djordje S. Kostić, has been published by the Institute for Balkan studies SASA. This collection was prepared while working on a project called The Danube and the Balkans: Historical and Cultural Heritage. This multi-disciplined collection contains texts about the flora and fauna of the river, the Danube as an inspiration for musicians and artists, the fate of cities lining its banks, the touristic appeal of the river and its surroundings, the legal parameters of sailing on the river, as well as detailed diaries and guides containing  geographical maps of the Danube.

 

CONTENTS
