Conference „Interethnic Relations at the Local Level in Serbia“

Dr. Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović, Principal Research Fellow at the Institute of Balkan Studies, Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, participated in the conference "Interethnic Relations at the Local Level in Serbia" which was held on December 16, 2024 at the Palace of Serbia and organized by the European Center for Minority Issues ECMI and Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue of the Republic of Serbia. Dr. Djurić Milovanović gave a presentation entitled Achieving national equality at the local level and intercultural practices. The event brought together representatives of the respective ministry, representatives of the local councils for interethnic relations from several municipalities and international organizations. During the conference the Center for Minority Issues ECMI presented project results on the functioning and possibilities of improving the councils for interethnic relations, as well as a better understanding of interethnic relations in Serbia.
