Summer School of Slavic Paleography

Milena Davidović, research assistant of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, participated in the Summer School of Slavic Paleography. The school was organized by the Cyrillo-Methodian Research Center at the BAN, in cooperation with the Institute for Mathematics and Informatics BAN, the “SS. Cyril and Methodius” National Library and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, from July 22 to 27, 2024. Students of Slavic studies from Serbia, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Russia, Germany and France participated in the Summer School.

During the school, Milena Davidović gave two lectures - “Manuscript production in the Middle Ages” and “Scribes and Scriptoria in Serbia in the 14th century”, and led the workshops “Digital Palaeography workshop: analysis of Hieromonac Lavrentiy's manuscripts”, “The case of study of the Serbian scribe Ioan” and “Comparison of the research results”.
