The lecture was devoted to elucidating the factors that influenced the semanticization and formation of folk ideas about days among the Slavs, where the names of the days and the division into "men’s" and "female’s" days were singled out as the most important, the place that the day occupies in the week, then view of Sunday and Monday as the first day of the week, belonging to even and odd days. The influence of the Christian view of days, as well as apocryphal texts, was also discussed, especially in the formation of the characters of personified female days in South Slavic folk lyric poetry.
