Danilo Savić at the "Messapie et messapien : pour un nouveau bilan archéologique, épigraphique et linguistique" conference

Danilo Savić, research assistant of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, participated in the international conference entitled "Messapie et messapien : pour un nouveau bilan archéologique, épigraphique et linguistique" held at the École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris. The conference was dedicated to the history, language and culture of the Messaps, an ancient people of Balkan origin who inhabited the very south of Italy from the Bronze Age to the Roman conquests. More than 20 researchers from France, Italy, Great Britain, Austria and Serbia presented their findings at the conference.

Danilo Savić gave a lecture under the title "Le messapien et l'illyrien: reprise de la question", the topic of which was the relationship between the language of Messap and the indigenous peoples of Illyricum.
