International edited volume New Cultural and Political Perspectives on Serbian-Romanian Relations, New York: Peter Lang
Dr. Aleksandra Đurić Milovanović, senior research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA is one of the editors of the international edited volume New Cultural and Political Perspectives on Serbian-Romanian Relations, published by the prestigious publisher Peter Lang in the edition of Southeast European History. In addition to Dr. Đurić Milovanović, the collection was edited by Jovana Kolundžija, Mircea Măran, Otilia Hedeșan and Christene D'Anca.
This is the first publication in English on the topic of Serbian-Romanian relations and represents a unique contribution which brings new understanding on cultural, political, diplomatic relations between Serbia and Romania. The volume consists of two thematic parts, the first part is dedicated to foreign policy and diplomatic relations, while the second part is dedicated to personalities who contributed to Serbian-Romanian relations in the field of art, literature and religious life. This volume brings together an interdisciplinary team of authors, including researchers from the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA: Dr. Dragan Bakić, senior research associate, with the chaptere The First Yugoslav Ambassador: Jovan Dučić in Romania 1937-1940, and Anđelija Miladinović, researcher-intern, with the chapter Maria of Yugoslavia: Romanian Princess, Yugoslav Queen.
