International Conference “Formal Descriptions of Slavic Linguistics”
The Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Graz hosted the sixteenth international conference “Formal Descriptions of Slavic Linguistics” (FDSL 16), from November 29th to December 1st 2023.
Mirjana Mirić, senior research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, was an invited speaker and held the lecture titled “The complementizer DA in the Prizren-Timok dialect zone” within the framework of the workshop “Non-standard(ised) Slavic: Data acquisition and analysis.” Over 60 researchers specializing in Slavic languages from the perspective of formal linguistics took part in the conference. Mirjana Mirić currently has an Austrian Academy of Sciences scholarship for a one-month research stay at the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Graz, under the “Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities” (JESH) program.
