Criteria for Assessing the Vitality and Vulnerability of the Romani Language in Serbia

Upon the invitation of the Board for the Study of Life and Customs of the Roma SASA, Mirjana Mirić, research associate at the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, gave a lecture titled “Criteria for Assessing the Vitality and Vulnerability of the Romani Language in Serbia.” The lecture took place at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts on October 4, 2023. The presentation drew upon the results of pilot field research conducted in 2022 as part of the “Vulnerable Languages and Linguistic Varieties in Serbia” (VLingS) project, funded by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia under the IDEAS program (2022–2024).
