Funding received for two projects of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA
Within the IDEAS Program, the largest and most complex program of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, associates of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA received funding for two projects in the field of social sciences and humanities.
The projects are titled Vulnerable Languages and Linguistic Varieties in Serbia (VLingS) and Pope Pius KSII and the Challenge of Totalitarianism in Yugoslavia, 1958-2019, 1958-19-19. 1958] (POLITY). The VLingS project is led by Anamarija Sorescu-Marinković, PhD, senior research associate, and includes three other research institutions: the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš.
The POLITY project is led by Vojislav G. Pavlović, PhD, principal research fellow, and two other scientific research organizations are participating in the project: the Institute for Recent History of Serbia and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
The Institute for Balkan Studies is also participating as a partner institution in another project led by the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, titled Cultural Transfer Serbia-Europe from the 19th to the 21st Century, the leader of the 19th century, whose principal investigator is prof Slobodan G. Markovic, PhD. A member of the project team from the Institute for Balkan Studies is Aleksandra Đurić Milovanović, PhD, senior research associate. The projects will start in January 2022 and last for 36 months.
