Heritage and Future - Arandjelovac 1859
Dragana Djuric, PhD, a Research Associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, has received the “Mile Nedeljkovic” Award for 2021. The award, named after a famous Serbian ethnologist, is given by Association of Citizens "Heritage and Future - Arandjelovac 1859" for the best work in contemporary folkloristics (ethnology, anthropology, ethnomusicology and folk literature). Đurić's monograph “Days of the week in folk culture of South Slavs and East Slavs”, published by the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA was declared an exceptional contribution to the study of folk culture of Slavic peoples and to be the best book in the field of ethnology and folk literature in 2020, by a jury consisting of Branko Zlatkovic, PhD, Jelena Jovanovic, PhD and Smiljana Djordjevic Belic, PhD.
