On Thursday and Friday, 7-8 October 2021, an annual conference of the Institute for South-East European Studies of the Romanian Academy (Institutul de Studii Sud-Est Europene al Academiei române) in Bucharest was held online under the title La coopération entre les peuples du Sud-Est européen du Moyen Âge à l’époque moderne. Vojislav G. Pavlović, PhD, director of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, opened the conference with his lecture “Nation Building in the Balkans, 1856-1945”. Dragan Bakić, PhD, senior research associate, presented his paper titled “Yugoslavia, the Balkan Entente and Italy’s Conquest of Abyssinia, 1935-1936”.
