Workshop State, Roma Population and Forms of Social Resistance and Integration in South-east Europe

At the invitation of the Center for Baltic and East European Research at Södertörn University in Stockholm, Annemarie Sorescu Marinković, senior research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, took part in the workshop State, Roma Population and Forms of Social Resistance and Integration in South-east Europe, organized on May 15, 2019, by the Center in collaboration with the Institute of South East European Studies of the Romanian Academy. Annemarie Sorescu Marinković gave a talk entitled Roma Bear Trainers in Eastern Europe at the Turn of the 21st Century: To Be or Not to Be Tamed. The workshop was attended by researchers from Bulgaria, Estonia, Romania, Serbia and Sweden.
