Center for Language Research Conference 2018 (CLARC2018) – Perspectives on Language Diversity
Svetlana Ćirković, senior research associate, and Mirjana Mirić, research associate of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, participated at the international scientific conference Center for Language Research Conference 2018 (CLARC2018) – Perspectives on Language Diversity, which took part between June 8th and 10th 2018 in Rijeka (Croatia). The conference was organized by The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka and gathered numerous scholars from Europe, Asian and Northern America. Svetlana Ćirković’s contribution entitled Language documentation of Romani in Eastern Serbia (Knjaževac and surroundings) and Mirjana Mirić’s contribution entitled Child language documentation and the role of the community in preserving endangered Romani varieties in Southeast Serbia were presented within the panel Linguistic endangerment in Southeast Europe, which focused on the topics of documentation, revitalization and language planning of minority and endangered languages in Southeast Europe.
