Conference was held on the 18th and 19th of May, 2017 in Madrid
Dr Valentina Živković, senior research associate of the Institute for Balkan studies, SASA, participated in an international scholarhly conference Congreso internacional: Antes del orientalismo: Las "imagenes" del Islam en la Peninsula Iberica (siglos XV-XVII) y sus conexiones mediteraneas which was held on the 18th and 19th of May, 2017 in Madrid (Spain), by the Departimento de Historia del Arte u de la Facultad de Geografia e Historia de la UNED with the support of Fundacion BBVA a Investigadores y Creadores Culturales. During the conference, in which more than 30 researchers took part, V. Živković presented a paper on the topic of: Il feroce stuolo a dio nemico - Hayreeddin Barbarossa and the veneration of Cattro's civic patron saints. The papers will be published in the themed volume of Sharq al Andalus magazine.
