Dr Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović gave lectures at the University College Cork
At the invitation of the University College Cork, Study of Religions Department, Dr Aleksandra Djurić Milovanović, research fellow of the Institute for Balkan Studies SASA, visited Ireland from February 6th until February 9th 2017. On Tuesday, February 7th Dr Djuric Milovanović gave the first lecture entitled The Regulation of Minority Religions in Yugoslavia: the case of Double Minorities for the research team of the international project - Creative Agency and Religious Minorities: ‘Hidden Galleries’ in the Secret Police Archives in 20th Century Central and Eastern Europe (European Research Council, no. 677355). On Wednesday, February 8th she gave a second lecture under the title (In)visible Migrants: the Nazarene Emigration to North America during Communism in Yugoslavia, hosted by the Study of Religions Department - postgraduate seminar. In collaboration with Dr. James Kapaló, principal investigator on the ‘Hidden Galleries’, Dr Djurić Milovanović had consultations with PhD students on the project. Also, several future visits are scheduled as part of this collaboration.
